L.A.B Tour – Tauranga, Hastings & Whangārei
L.A.B’s homegrown groove blends on an eclectic mix of reggae, electronic, blues, funk and rock – all combining to create a sound entirely of their own. L.A.B kicked off their summer tour in Tauranga late 2022, with their Hastings & Whangārei wrapping up in summer 2023.
Closed Loop partnered with Loop Live to provide sustainable waste management services for all three shows.
Our impact:
Repurposing more than 80% of waste at L.A.B. Tour
Closed Loop proudly served all three locations of the L.A.B Tour. To achieve an average of 80.3% repurposing rate across all locations, Closed Loop hand-sorted all waste into at least 7 different material streams, depending on local recycling resources. This included paper cups, aluminium cans, cardboard, rigid plastics and more!
Repurposing rates by location
Location | Waste generated | # of material streams | Diversion rate |
Tauranga | 33.8m³ | 7 | 83.1% |
Hastings | 53.5m³ | 10 | 83.2% |
Whangārei | 54m³ | 10 | 75.3% |
